Staines Steel Flange End Y Type PTFE Lined Stainer Valves With PTFE Mesh

The TEKO Y type strainer is used to prevent solids flowing through a pipe line. Like all the products manufactured by TEKO, the strainer has a PFA lined carbon steel body. The PFA lining and PTFE mesh and basket ensure long life in the most arduous conditions.

The Y pattern design is to give minimum pressure loss by using a large area PTFE filter basket. The basket is manufactured from 2 off interlocking PTFE cylinders with an ETFE filter screen sandwiched between them. The standard screen size is 300µ but we are able to supply various sized mesh filter screens to suit your application.

The filter basket can be removed for cleaning or changing without removing the strainer from the pipe line. The filter basket assembly is supplied with a PTFE drain plug to drain fluid prior to basket removal. We can supply a drain valve to replace this to allow easy draining if required.
